Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Santorini — Sunset in Oia
Arrive at Santorini Airport, where your private driver meets you with a sign. Transfer to your caldera-view hotel — a whitewashed cave suite carved into the volcanic cliff, with a private plunge pool or jacuzzi and uninterrupted views of the caldera. After settle-in, private sunset tour to Oia. Your guide leads you through the marble streets to the best sunset viewpoints — the famous blue domes, the windmill, the castle ruins. Oia at sunset is one of travel’s most iconic images, and it genuinely lives up to the photographs: the white buildings glowing gold, the caldera darkening to indigo, the sun sinking behind the volcano. After sunset: romantic dinner at a cliffside restaurant — candlelit table, Greek seafood, local Assyrtiko wine. Overnight in your cave suite in Santorini.
Day 2: Wine Country & Cooking Class
Sleep in — this is a romantic escape, not an endurance race. Late morning: private Santorini wine tour. Visit three distinctive wineries: a traditional cave winery (canava) where wine is made as it was centuries ago, a modern estate producing world-class Assyrtiko, and a clifftop tasting room with caldera views. Santorini’s unique viticulture — vines woven into wreaths on the ground (kouloura method), ancient ungrafted rootstocks (some vines are 400+ years old, surviving phylloxera because the volcanic soil is inhospitable to the insect), and the volcanic minerality — produces wines unlike anything else in the world. Pair with local cheeses, capers, and sun-dried tomatoes. Afternoon: private cooking class in a traditional cave house. Learn to prepare Santorini’s signature dishes — fava (yellow split pea purée), tomatokeftedes, grilled octopus, and baklava. Enjoy the meal you’ve prepared on a terrace with caldera views. Evening: free to explore Fira’s nightlife or relax in your suite. Overnight in Santorini.
Day 3: Private Catamaran — Caldera & Volcano
A day designed to be the highlight of the trip. Morning: private catamaran (just you, your partner, and crew) departs from Vlychada Marina. Sail along the caldera coast — beneath the Red Beach, White Beach, and the iconic cliffs of the caldera. Stop at the volcano island of Nea Kameni — hike to the active crater (30 minutes up, views across the entire caldera). Swim at the hot springs of Palea Kameni where sulfurous water turns the sea yellow-green. Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch on board: Greek salad, grilled seafood or souvlaki, fresh fruit, and open bar. Afternoon: sail beneath Oia — the best view of the famous village is from the water. Anchor in a secluded cove for a final swim. As the sun begins to set, your skipper positions the catamaran for the perfect sunset — from the water, with the entire caldera aglow, it is spectacularly romantic. Evening: return to port and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Santorini.
Day 4: Akrotiri & Departure
Morning: private guided tour of Akrotiri — the “Pompeii of the Aegean,” a Bronze Age city buried by the eruption of 1600 BC and preserved for 3,600 years. This is among the most important archaeological sites in the Mediterranean. After: visit a final viewpoint for photographs, or shop for Santorini souvenirs — Vinsanto sweet wine, Assyrtiko, capers, and volcanic pumice stone. Transfer to Santorini Airport for departure.
