Day 1: Arrive Athens — Acropolis by Sunset

Arrive at Athens International Airport. Transfer to your hotel near the Plaka. Late afternoon: guided tour of the Acropolis — visiting at sunset, when the marble glows gold amber and the crowds have thinned. The Parthenon (438 BC), Erechtheion with its Caryatids, and the view of the Aegean from the Propylaea are incomparable. Evening: dinner at a traditional taverna in the Plaka with live Greek music. Overnight in Athens.

Day 2: Athens to Santorini — The Caldera Island

Morning flight to Santorini (45 minutes). The approach to Santorini airport is an experience in itself — the plane banks over the caldera, revealing the crescent island, the volcano, and the white villages on the cliff edge. Transfer to your hotel on the caldera rim in Fira. Afternoon: explore Fira’s cobbled streets — boutiques, art galleries, and hidden terraces with caldera views. Walk to the Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral, then down to the Old Port (588 steps — donkey or cable car up!). Evening: dinner at a caldera-view restaurant, watching the moon rise over the volcano. Overnight in Santorini.

Day 3: Santorini — Oia Sunset & Akrotiri

Morning: visit Akrotiri, the “Minoan Pompeii” — a Bronze Age city buried by the volcanic eruption of c. 1600 BC, preserved under ash for 3,600 years. Walk the suspended pathways above the excavation, seeing three-story buildings, advanced drainage, and vibrant frescoes. Afternoon: drive to Oia — Santorini’s most iconic village, with its famous blue domes and whitewashed houses cascading down the cliff. Explore the marble streets, visit the Maritime Museum (Santorini’s ship-owning history), and find your spot for the legendary Oia sunset — the moment when hundreds of people fall silent and the sun sinks into the Aegean behind the caldera. Overnight in Santorini.

Day 4: Santorini to Mykonos — Jet-Set Island

Morning ferry to Mykonos (2 hours). Arrive at the new port and transfer to your hotel — a whitewashed Cycladic building with blue shutters. Afternoon: walking tour of Mykonos Town (Chora) — the maze of narrow streets (designed to confuse pirates in the 17th century), the famous windmills (Kato Mili) standing on the hill above Little Venice, and the Paraportiani Church (the most photographed church in Greece). Walk the waterfront of Little Venice where 18th-century sea captains’ houses have their balconies literally over the waves. Evening: seafood dinner at a waterfront restaurant in Little Venice as the Aegean laps at the walls below. Overnight in Mykonos.

Day 5: Mykonos — Delos & Beaches

Morning: boat to Delos (30 min), the sacred island birthplace of Apollo. For 1,000 years, Delos was the religious and commercial center of the Aegean. Walk the Lion Terrace, the Theatre Quarter’s elegant houses with their mosaics, and the Sacred Lake where Apollo was born (according to myth). Afternoon: beach time — Mykonos has some of the finest beaches in the Cyclades. Choose Elia (the longest sandy beach), Psarou (the celebrity beach with Nammos beach club), or Agrari (quieter, with crystal-clear water). Evening: cocktail at Caprice Bar in Little Venice — sitting at the water’s edge as the sun sets, the waves occasionally splashing your feet. Overnight in Mykonos.

Day 6: Departure

Morning at leisure for last shopping in Matoyianni Street (Mykonos’s designer boutique alley). Transfer to Mykonos Airport for departure — or ferry back to Athens for your onward flight.
