Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Yangon Arrival
Arrive at Yangon International Airport. Transfer to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy an evening visit to Shwedagon Pagoda — the 99-meter golden stupa glowing under evening lights. Walk the marble platform among devotees, monks, and the scent of jasmine and incense. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 2: Fly to Bagan & Temple Exploration
Morning flight to Bagan. Begin your temple exploration: Shwezigon Pagoda, the golden prototype of all Burmese stupas; Ananda Temple, the perfectly proportioned architectural masterpiece with four giant standing Buddhas; and Thatbyinnyu, the tallest temple towering at 61 meters. Explore the intricate murals at Gubyaukgyi Temple. Late afternoon: climb an elevated temple for sunset — watch the sun sink behind 2,000 ancient spires stretching across the plain. Day 3: Bagan Sunrise Balloon, Horse Cart Exploration & Sunset
Pre-dawn start for an unforgettable sunrise — mist rising over the temple plain as hot air balloons drift silently overhead (optional balloon ride available seasonally). Visit Dhammayangyi Temple, the most massive structure in Bagan with its legendary bricked-up inner corridors. Explore Sulamani Temple and its beautifully preserved 12th-century paintings. Day 4: Fly to Heho & Inle Lake Discovery

Day 5: Inle Lake Full Day — Inn Thein, Floating Gardens & Lotus Weaving
Full day exploring Inle Lake in depth. Visit a five-day rotating market where Shan, Pa-O, and Intha people gather in a kaleidoscope of traditional dress and local produce. Continue to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the most sacred shrine on the lake. Cruise through narrow canals lined with bamboo and water hyacinth to Inn Thein — a breathtaking hillside complex of over 1,000 ancient stupas, some dating to the 12th century, many half-consumed by jungle. The view from the summit is simply spectacular. Afternoon: visit a lotus weaving workshop where fibers from lotus stems are spun into one of the world’s most luxurious fabrics, and a cheroot-making workshop. Sunset boat cruise. Day 6: Shan Hills Trekking & Kakku Pagodas
Today venture into the Shan highlands. Morning trek through pine forests and tribal villages — meet the gentle Pa-O people in their distinctive black and colorful turban dress, visit village schools, and walk through terraced farms. Continue to Kakku, a hidden forest complex of over 2,000 ancient stupas — less known than Bagan but equally enchanting, with pagodas packed tightly together in serried ranks, their spires piercing the forest canopy. This sacred site, maintained by the Pa-O people for centuries, offers a completely different temple experience from Bagan. Picnic lunch among the pagodas. Return to your lakeside hotel in the evening for a farewell dinner. Overnight at lakeside hotel.

Day 7: Departure
