Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Douala — Dschang — Bafoussam
Morning pickup from Douala and drive through the scenic Littoral Region into the Bamileke Highlands. First stop at the Museum of Civilizations in Dschang, a world-class ethnographic museum showcasing Cameroon s 250+ ethnic groups through artifacts, textiles, and architectural models. Continue to Bafoussam, the regional capital. Visit a traditional Bamileke chiefdom compound with its distinctive cone-roofed architecture. Overnight at Hotel Zingana, Bafoussam.
Day 2: Bafoussam — Foumban — Bamoun Kingdom
Morning drive to Foumban (approx. 1.5 hours). Full-day exploration of the Bamoun Sultanate. Visit the Sultan s Palace, built in 1917, and the adjacent Bamoun Museum with its collection of over 3,000 royal artifacts including thrones, weapons, royal regalia, and the famous Bamoun script invented by Sultan Njoya. Continue through the highlands to Bafang, stopping at artisan villages specializing in raffia textiles, pottery, and bamboo crafts. Day 4: Bafang — Douala — Departure
Morning exploration of Bafang s markets before the return drive to Douala. En-route visit to the Ekom-Nkam Waterfalls (season-dependent). Arrive Douala by late afternoon. Transfer to Douala International Airport for departure. End of tour.
