Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Dili City Discovery
Arrive in Dili. Afternoon exploration of the capital: visit the iconic Cristo Rei statue overlooking the bay, the Resistance Museum, and the Santa Cruz Cemetery. Evening at the beachfront esplanade with local food stalls.
Day 2: Atauro Island Day Trip — World-Class Diving
Full-day boat trip to Atauro Island’s pristine reefs. Two dives at spectacular sites (eg. Frank’s Crack and Manta Cove). Visibility typically 30m+. Encounter turtles, reef sharks, massive schools of fish, and some of the most diverse coral gardens in the Coral Triangle. Surface interval with lunch on the boat. Return to Dili by late afternoon. Day 3: Coastal Shore Dives & Local Culture
Morning coastal shore dive trip (40 min east of Dili) to K41 and Secret Garden — wall dives with easy shore access. Encounter macro critters and colorful reef fish.
