Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Bandar Seri Begawan — The Golden Legacy
Welcome to Brunei, a tiny oil-rich sultanate on the island of Borneo. Airport transfer to your hotel. Afternoon introduction to Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB): visit the magnificent Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque — considered one of the most beautiful mosques in Southeast Asia, with its Italian marble, gold mosaic dome, and artificial lagoon. Evening: explore the Gadong Night Market for authentic Bruneian street food — satay, grilled stingray, and ambuyat (the national dish). Overnight in BSB.
Day 2: Water Village & Royal Splendor
Morning boat ride to Kampong Ayer, the world’s largest water village — over 30,000 people live in stilt houses connected by wooden walkways, with schools, mosques, and shops all on water. Visit a local home for traditional kuih (sweets) and tea. Continue to the Royal Regalia Museum — the Sultan’s incredible collection of gifts from world leaders, including his golden chariot and jewel-encrusted crowns. Afternoon: visit the Jame’Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, Brunei’s largest with 29 golden domes. Evening sunset cruise on the Brunei River. Overnight in BSB.
Day 3: Temburong — The Green Jewel
Full-day excursion to Temburong District, Brunei’s pristine rainforest. Take a speedboat through mangrove-lined waterways to Bangar, then a traditional longboat up the Temburong River to Ulu Temburong National Park. Climb the canopy walkway — 50 meters above the forest floor — for a breathtaking view over one of the world’s oldest rainforests. Cool off in a natural waterfall pool. Lunch at a riverside lodge. Return to BSB in the evening. Overnight in BSB.
Day 4: Depart Bandar Seri Begawan
Morning visit to the Tamu Kianggeh market for local produce and handicrafts. Transfer to Brunei International Airport.
