Day 1: Arrive Casablanca
VIP airport greeting. Afternoon: Hassan II Mosque tour (Africa’s largest, 210m minaret, built on the Atlantic). Walk the Corniche. Evening: seafood dinner at Rick’s Cafe — the Casablanca-themed restaurant inspired by the film (for the movie buffs). Overnight Casablanca 4-star.
Day 2: Casablanca to Chefchaouen via Rabat
Morning: Rabat — Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum, Royal Palace exterior. Drive through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen. Arrive at the Blue City. Afternoon: explore the blue streets — every corner a photograph, every alley a different shade of blue. Climb to the Spanish Mosque for sunset — the blue city against the Rif at golden hour. Day 3: Chefchaouen to Fes via Volubilis
Sunrise in the empty blue streets. Drive to Volubilis — the most complete Roman ruins in North Africa. Guided walk through the forum, basilica, triumphal arch, and houses with mosaic floors. Continue to Fes. Check into riad. Evening: optional traditional dinner with entertainment — belly dancing and live Andalusian music. Overnight Fes riad.
Day 4: Fes — Complete Medina Exploration
Full guided day: Bou Inania Madrasa, Al Quaraouiyine University (oldest in the world, 859 AD), Nejjarine Museum and Fountain, Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, Chouara tanneries (unchanged since medieval times), and the ceramic cooperative to watch zellij tile-making. Lunch in the medina. Afternoon: Mellah (Jewish Quarter), the Royal Palace’s golden doors, and panoramic view from Borj Nord fortress. Overnight Fes riad.
Day 5: Fes to Merzouga — Sahara Journey
Drive through Ifrane, Azrou (Barbary macaques in cedar forests), and the Ziz Valley gorges. Arrive Merzouga. The dunes appear — 150m golden waves. Camel trek into Erg Chebbi at sunset. Arrive at luxury desert camp: private tent with real bed, Berber dinner, drumming around the fire, and a billion stars visible to the naked eye. Overnight luxury camp.
Day 6: Merzouga to Marrakech
Sahara sunrise (unforgettable). Drive through Rissani, the Ziz Valley, and across the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka (2,260m). Long but spectacular day of Moroccan landscapes: desert → palm groves → gorges → mountains → plains. Arrive Marrakech evening. Overnight Marrakech 4-star.
Day 7: Marrakech Discovery
Guided morning: Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace. Afternoon: Majorelle Garden — the electric-blue villa and cactus garden designed by Jacques Majorelle, later purchased and restored by Yves Saint Laurent. Visit the YSL Museum next door. Evening: food tour through Jemaa el-Fna — try everything from harira soup to sheep’s head (if you’re brave!). Overnight Marrakech.
Day 8: Marrakech Free Day & Farewell
Your day: final souk shopping, a traditional hammam and massage, a cooking class, or a day trip to the Atlas Mountains (Ourika Valley or Oukaimeden). Afternoon: visit the Secret Garden in the medina. Farewell dinner: rooftop restaurant with Koutoubia views, your final chicken tagine with preserved lemon and olives. Overnight Marrakech.
Day 9: Departure
Airport transfer. Depart with Morocco’s magic — the blue of Chefchaouen, the gold of the Sahara, the maze of Fes, and the red of Marrakech.
