Day 1: Labuan Bajo to Seture Island via Rangko Cave
Morning briefing and kayak fitting in Labuan Bajo. Paddle to Rangko Cave — a limestone cave with an ethereal turquoise pool fed by filtered sunlight. Continue paddling east through the calm waters of the Flores Sea, crossing between islands. Afternoon arrival at Seture Island, a tiny uninhabited sand cay. Set up camp, swim, snorkel the surrounding reef. Sunset dinner on the beach. Sleep under the stars (tents and sleeping mats provided).
Day 2: Rinca Island — The Dragon’s Domain
Morning paddle to Rinca Island, one of the best places to see Komodo dragons. Trek with rangers through the dry savanna — dragons basking in the sun, water buffalo wallowing in mud holes, wild monkeys in the trees. The dragons’ kingdom is primal and thrilling. Afternoon paddle to Bedadhari Reef for world-class snorkeling among pristine coral gardens teeming with reef fish. Camp on a nearby beach. Overnight camping.
Day 3: Bedadhari to Kelor Island
Morning snorkel Bedadhari’s outer reef — turtles, giant clams, and swirling schools of fusiliers. Paddle southwest, crossing channels where dolphins and pilot whales are frequently spotted. Afternoon arrival at Kelor Island, a perfect cone of green rising from turquoise water. Short hike to the summit for sunset panoramas. Camp on Kelor’s white sand beach. Overnight camping.
Day 4: Padar Island & Pearl Farm
Paddle to Padar Island, the icon of Komodo. Land on the black sand beach and make the 30-minute hike to the famous triple-bay viewpoint — the view you’ve seen in every Indonesia travel magazine, now earned with your own effort. Afternoon: visit a traditional pearl farm where South Sea pearls are cultivated in the pristine waters. Snorkel in the pearl farm’s protected bay — some of the healthiest coral in the park. Return to camp on a secluded beach. Final night under the stars. Overnight camping.
Day 5: Final Paddle & Return to Labuan Bajo
Morning paddle back to Labuan Bajo — the final leg, with the volcanic peaks of Flores growing on the horizon. Arrive by midday. Farewell lunch, transfer to your hotel or airport. You’ve just kayaked Komodo — and your arms have the stories to prove it.
