Arrive Lagos. Transfer to Victoria Island hotel. Afternoon orientation drive through Ikoyi, Lekki, and Victoria Island. Visit Freedom Park (converted colonial prison, now cultural space). Evening: dinner at a top Lagos restaurant with Afrobeat soundtrack. Overnight Lagos.
Day 2: Museums & Art
Morning: National Museum Lagos — Nok terracottas, Benin bronzes, Ife heads. Continue to the Nigerian National Theatre (massive 1970s structure shaped like a military cap). Day 3: Makoko Water Village & Lekki
Morning: boat to Makoko — the “Venice of Africa,” a sprawling community of stilt houses on Lagos Lagoon. Float through the canals, meet the fishing community, and experience a way of life unlike anywhere else. Afternoon: Lekki Conservation Centre — walk Africa’s longest canopy walkway. Evening: explore Lagos’s famous nightlife scene. Overnight Lagos.
Day 4: Tarkwa Bay — Beach Escape
Boat to Tarkwa Bay, a sheltered beach on the Atlantic accessible only by water. Swim, relax on the sand, watch the surfers, and enjoy fresh grilled fish and cold drinks at the beach bars. A rare peaceful day in the megacity. Afternoon return to Lagos. Evening: Lagos Arts & Crafts Market for last-minute souvenirs. Overnight Lagos.
Day 5: Departure
