Itinerary Highlights

Day 1: Arrive Grand Cayman — Seven Mile Beach

Arrive at Owen Roberts International Airport. Transfer to your resort on Seven Mile Beach, consistently voted one of the world’s best beaches with its impossibly soft white sand and calm turquoise water. Welcome cocktail and orientation. Afternoon at leisure on the beach. Overnight at Seven Mile Beach resort.

Day 2: Stingray City & Starfish Point

The quintessential Cayman Islands experience. Morning boat trip to Stingray City Sandbar — a waist-deep sandbar in the middle of the North Sound where southern stingrays (some over 4 feet across) have gathered for over 50 years, accustomed to being fed by fishermen. Wade in the water as friendly rays glide around your legs. Continue to the Coral Gardens for excellent snorkeling, then to Starfish Point — a secluded beach where red cushion starfish litter the shallow water. Afternoon: visit the Cayman Turtle Centre, home to 11,000+ green sea turtles. Overnight at Seven Mile Beach.

Day 3: Kittiwake Wreck & Rum Point

Morning snorkel/dive at the USS Kittiwake, a 251-foot US Navy submarine rescue vessel intentionally sunk in 2011 to create an artificial reef. The ship sits upright in 18m of water, fully intact and accessible to snorkelers at the top and divers throughout. Afternoon trip to Rum Point on the island’s quiet north side: hammocks under the casuarina trees, shallow turquoise water for wading, and the famous Mudslide cocktail at the Wreck Bar. Overnight at Seven Mile Beach.

Day 4: Crystal Caves & East End

Morning visit to the Crystal Caves — a newly opened attraction revealing a network of underground caves with stalactite and stalagmite formations, crystal-clear freshwater lakes, and ancient fossilized marine life from when these caves were beneath the sea. Afternoon: drive to the East End, the island’s least developed side. Visit the Blowholes, where waves force water through holes in the iron-shore rock. Stop at the East End Lighthouse for sweeping views. Lunch at a local fish shack. Visit the Mastic Trail, a 200-year-old footpath through the last remaining old-growth forest on Grand Cayman, home to the endangered blue iguana (only 25 exist in the wild). Overnight at Seven Mile Beach.

Day 5: Cayman Brac Day Trip

Short morning flight to Cayman Brac, the second-largest Cayman island. Hike the Bluff, a dramatic limestone cliff running the length of the island rising 140 feet above the sea — the highest point in the Cayman Islands. Explore the caves dotting the Bluff: Great Cave, Bat’s Cave, Rebecca’s Cave. Visit the Cayman Brac Museum and the lighthouse. Spot the endangered Cayman Brac Parrot (only 400 remain). Afternoon flight back to Grand Cayman. Overnight at Seven Mile Beach.

Day 6: Bioluminescent Bay & Farewell

Morning at leisure. Afternoon: visit the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park, home to the Blue Iguana Recovery Programme. Evening: kayak through the bioluminescent bay — as you paddle, millions of microscopic dinoflagellates emit blue-green light, creating an otherworldly glow around your paddle and in your wake (one of only a handful of places on Earth where this occurs year-round). Farewell dinner at a waterfront restaurant. Overnight at Seven Mile Beach.

Day 7: Depart Grand Cayman

Morning beach time. Transfer to airport (duty-free shopping for luxury goods).
