Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Larnaca — Transfer to Troodos
Airport pickup and transfer to the Troodos Mountains. Check into a traditional mountain village inn. Afternoon warm-up walk through pine forests to Caledonia Waterfall. Welcome dinner with village wine. Overnight in Troodos village.
Day 2: Mount Olympus — Cyprus’ Highest Peak
Hike to the summit of Mount Olympus (1,952m), the highest point in Cyprus. Walk the Artemis Trail (7km circuit), a nature trail circling the summit with panoramic views across the entire island. Visit a mountain monastery en route. Afternoon: explore the village of Platres with its cool mountain streams. Overnight in Troodos.
Day 3: Painted Churches Trail
Hiking day connecting UNESCO Byzantine churches. Walk the trail from Kakopetria to Galata, visiting Asinou Church (12th century) with its magnificent frescoes. Continue through vineyards and orchards to Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis (11th century). Rural picnic lunch. Afternoon hike through the Marathasa Valley. Overnight in Troodos.
Day 4: Akamas Peninsula — Aphrodite Trail
Transfer to the Akamas Peninsula. Hike the famous Aphrodite Trail (7.5km) — spectacular coastal scenery, the Baths of Aphrodite, and panoramic views of the Blue Lagoon. Swim at a remote beach accessible only on foot. Afternoon hike to Lara Bay, home to protected green turtle nesting sites. Overnight near Polis.
Day 5: Avakas Gorge & Sea Caves
Hike through the dramatic Avakas Gorge, a narrow canyon with walls reaching 30m high. Continue along the coast to the Sea Caves of Peyia for spectacular photography. Afternoon visit to the Paphos Archaeological Park — a well-deserved cultural break for tired legs. Farewell dinner by the harbor. Overnight in Paphos.
Day 6: Depart Paphos or Larnaca
Morning swim at Coral Bay. Transfer to Paphos or Larnaca Airport.
