Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Nadi
Bula! Welcome to Fiji! Airport greeting with a shell lei at Nadi International Airport. Transfer to your beachfront accommodation. Afternoon orientation and swim. Welcome dinner with a traditional Fijian lovo (earth oven feast). Overnight in Nadi.
Day 2: Nadi — Sabeto Hot Springs & Garden of the Sleeping Giant
Morning visit to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant — Raymond Burr’s magnificent orchid collection with over 2,000 varieties. Hike to the viewpoint over the “Sleeping Giant” mountain. Afternoon at Sabeto Hot Springs and Mud Pool — coat yourself in mineral-rich thermal mud, then soak in natural hot springs. Visit a local Fijian village. Overnight in Nadi.
Day 3: Robinson Crusoe Island
Boat transfer to Robinson Crusoe Island (Likuri Island) — a pristine coral island surrounded by turquoise lagoons. Learn traditional Fijian skills: basket weaving, coconut husking, and preparing kava. Afternoon snorkeling over vibrant coral gardens. Evening: spectacular Polynesian fire dance show and kava ceremony under the stars. Overnight on Robinson Crusoe Island.
Day 4: Beachcomber Island
Transfer to Beachcomber Island in the Mamanuca archipelago — a tiny jewel of an island you can walk around in 15 minutes. Full day of paradise: snorkeling with tropical fish, kayaking, volleyball, or simply lounging in a hammock. Sunset from the island’s bar. Overnight on Beachcomber Island.
Day 5: Mamanuca Islands Exploration
Island-hopping day in the Mamanucas. Visit Modriki Island — where the movie “Cast Away” with Tom Hanks was filmed. Snorkel in the crystal-clear waters. Picnic lunch on a deserted sandbar. Afternoon free on Beachcomber Island. Overnight on Beachcomber Island.
Day 6: Yasawa Islands — Paradise Found
Journey to the Yasawa Islands — a chain of 20 volcanic islands with some of Fiji’s most dramatic scenery. Dramatic peaks, hidden coves, and beaches that define the word “paradise.” Arrive at your Yasawa island resort. Afternoon snorkeling or hiking to a viewpoint. Overnight in the Yasawas.
Day 7: Yasawa Island Life
Full day in the Yasawas. Visit the famous Sawa-i-Lau Caves — swim through an underwater passage into a hidden cavern with natural light streaming through holes in the rock ceiling (a truly surreal experience). Afternoon at the Blue Lagoon — one of the world’s most famous beaches. Village visit with a traditional sevusevu (welcome ceremony). Overnight in the Yasawas.
Day 8: Yasawa to Nadi
Morning in the Yasawas for a final swim in paradise. Boat transfer back to Nadi. Afternoon exploring Nadi town: the colorful Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple — the largest Hindu temple in the Southern Hemisphere. Visit the local market for tropical fruits and handicrafts. Overnight in Nadi.
Day 9: Sigatoka Sand Dunes & Coral Coast
Drive along the Coral Coast to Sigatoka. Visit the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park (UNESCO tentative) — walk the ancient dunes, dig for Lapita pottery shards dating back 2,600 years at the archaeological site. Afternoon at the Sigatoka River — optional jet boat safari to a remote village. Overnight on the Coral Coast.
Day 10: Pacific Harbour — Adventure Capital
Travel to Pacific Harbour, Fiji’s adventure hub. Optional: shark diving in Beqa Lagoon (one of the world’s top shark dive sites), zip-lining through the rainforest canopy, or white-water rafting on the Upper Navua River. Afternoon visit to the Arts Village. Farewell dinner with traditional meke (dance performance). Overnight on the Coral Coast.
Day 11: Depart Nadi
Final tropical breakfast. Transfer to Nadi International Airport. Moce (goodbye), Fiji — vinaka vakalevu (thank you very much) for the memories!
