Day 1: Arrive Beijing
Welcome to China’s capital! Airport pickup and transfer to your 4-star hotel. Evening at leisure — stroll Wangfujing night market or explore the hutongs near your hotel. Overnight in Beijing.
Day 2: Beijing — The Imperial City
Morning at Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest public square. Enter the Forbidden City through the Gate of Heavenly Peace — explore the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the imperial living quarters, and the stunning Imperial Garden. Afternoon climb Jingshan Park for the iconic panoramic view of the Forbidden City’s golden roofs. Visit the Summer Palace, China’s best-preserved royal garden, with its Long Corridor and Kunming Lake. Overnight in Beijing.
Day 3: Great Wall at Mutianyu
Cable car up to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall — less crowded and beautifully restored. Hike along the ancient battlements from Watchtower 14 to 20, the highest point with breathtaking views. Optional toboggan ride down! Afternoon visit the Sacred Way of the Ming Tombs with its avenue of 12 pairs of stone animals. Evening optional Peking Duck dinner. Overnight in Beijing.
Day 4: Temple of Heaven & Train to Xi’an
Morning at the Temple of Heaven — watch locals practice tai chi and ballroom dancing in the park. Explore the iconic Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Rickshaw ride through Beijing’s historic hutongs with a visit to a traditional courtyard home. Afternoon bullet train to Xi’an (5 hours, 300 km/h). Overnight in Xi’an.
Day 5: Terracotta Warriors & Ancient Xi’an
The highlight: the Terracotta Warriors Museum — over 8,000 life-sized warriors, horses, and chariots guarding Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s tomb for 2,200 years. Afternoon visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Da Ci’en Temple. Evening at the Grand Tang Dynasty Ever-Bright City — a spectacular illuminated recreation of Tang-era Chang’an. Overnight in Xi’an.
Day 6: Xi’an City Wall & Depart
Morning cycle on Xi’an’s Ancient City Wall — the most complete city wall in China (14 km circuit). Visit the Muslim Quarter for local snacks and the Great Mosque. Afternoon transfer to Xi’an airport. Safe travels!
