Day 1: Arrive Vilnius
Welcome to Lithuania! Airport transfer to your hotel. Evening at leisure in Vilnius. Overnight in Vilnius.
Day 2: Vilnius Discovery
Guided walking tour of Vilnius Old Town: Cathedral Square, Gediminas Castle tower, Presidential Palace, St. Anne’s Church, Gates of Dawn. Afternoon explore the self-proclaimed Republic of Uzupis. Overnight in Vilnius.
Day 3: Trakai & Kaunas
Morning to Trakai Island Castle on Lake Galve. Afternoon in Kaunas, Lithuania’s second city: the pedestrian Laisves Aleja, Town Hall (“White Swan”), and the modernist architecture (UNESCO-listed). Overnight in Kaunas.
Day 4: Curonian Spit & Nida
Ferry to the Curonian Spit (UNESCO World Heritage) — a 98km sand dune peninsula shared by Lithuania and Russia. Visit Nida, a charming fishing village with its massive drifting sand dunes. Climb the Parnidis Dune for sweeping views of the Baltic Sea and Curonian Lagoon. Visit Thomas Mann’s summer house. Overnight in Klaipeda/Liepaja.
Day 5: Liepaja to Riga
Morning in Liepaja, Latvia — the “City of Wind” with its art nouveau architecture and Karosta military port district. Continue to Riga along the Baltic coast. Overnight in Riga.
Day 6: Riga Old Town & Art Nouveau
Full-day Riga exploration: the medieval Old Town (UNESCO), Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Three Brothers, Riga Castle, and the Swedish Gate. Afternoon guided tour of the Art Nouveau quarter — Alberta and Elizabetes streets. Evening optional Latvian folk dinner. Overnight in Riga.
Day 7: Gauja National Park
Day trip to Gauja National Park. Visit Sigulda’s three castles: Turaida Castle with its museum and sculpture park, Krimulda Castle ruins, and Sigulda Castle. Cable car ride over the primeval Gauja River valley. Overnight in Riga.
Day 8: Riga to Tallinn
Drive north along the Baltic coast through Parnu, Estonia’s summer capital. Walking tour of Parnu’s historic spa district and beach promenade. Arrive in Tallinn by late afternoon. Overnight in Tallinn.
Day 9: Tallinn Old Town
Guided walking tour of Tallinn’s medieval Old Town: Toompea Hill (Upper Town) with the castle and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Lower Town with the 15th-century Town Hall and pharmacy (Europe’s oldest continuously operating pharmacy). Afternoon optional visit to the Seaplane Harbour maritime museum. Farewell dinner. Overnight in Tallinn.
Day 10: Depart Tallinn
Transfer to TLL airport. Safe travels!
