Day 1: Arrive San Jose
Welcome to Costa Rica! Airport transfer to your hotel in San Jose, the vibrant capital city. Evening at leisure in Escazu or Barrio Amon. Overnight in San Jose.
Day 2: San Jose City Tour
Explore the National Theater, Gold Museum (pre-Columbian artifacts), Central Market, and Metropolitan Cathedral. Afternoon optional visit to Poas Volcano crater. Overnight in San Jose.
Day 3: Transfer to Arenal Volcano
Scenic drive through the Central Highlands to Arenal Volcano area. Stop at a coffee plantation en route. Evening at Tabacon or Eco Termales hot springs with volcano views. Overnight in La Fortuna/Arenal.
Day 4: Arenal Adventure
Morning hanging bridges walk through the rainforest canopy. Afternoon hike to La Fortuna Waterfall with swimming. Optional activities: zip-lining, whitewater rafting, or horseback riding. Overnight in Arenal.
Day 5: Boat & Jeep to Monteverde
Cross Lake Arenal by boat, then 4×4 jeep up the mountain to Monteverde Cloud Forest. Afternoon coffee & chocolate tour. Overnight in Monteverde.
Day 6: Monteverde Cloud Forest
Guided walk in Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve — home to the resplendent quetzal, howler monkeys, and over 400 bird species. Visit the hummingbird gallery and butterfly garden. Afternoon Sky Walk suspension bridges. Overnight in Monteverde.
Day 7: Return San Jose & Depart
