Days 1-3: Mexico to Belize
Arrive Playa del Carmen. Cross into Belize. Ferry to Caye Caulker — Hol Chan snorkeling with sharks, rays, turtles. Free day for island life.
Days 4-6: San Ignacio & Tikal
Belize interior: cave tubing, Xunantunich ruins. Cross into Guatemala. Tikal sunrise — Temple IV, Great Plaza, Lost World. Overnight Flores.
Days 7-9: Rio Dulce to Antigua
Boat journey on Rio Dulce. Drive to Antigua — colonial streets, volcano views, free time for Acatenango overnight trek (optional, not included).
Days 10-12: Chichicastenango & Lake Atitlan
Chichi market — Central America’s largest. Boat to Lake Atitlan villages. San Juan La Laguna weaving cooperative, Maya homestay dinner with a local family.
Days 13-15: Lake Atitlan Exploration
Lancha between villages — San Pedro, Santiago Atitlan (Maximón shrine), San Marcos. Optional: Indian Nose sunrise hike, kayaking, Spanish lessons.
Day 16: Antigua & Depart
Return to Antigua, transfer to Guatemala City Airport.
