Day 1: Windhoek — Welcome to Namibia
Arrive at Windhoek International Airport. Premium transfer to a boutique hotel. Afternoon orientation tour of Windhoek’s highlights: the Christuskirche, the Independence Memorial Museum, and the vibrant craft market. Welcome dinner at a top Windhoek restaurant. Overnight Windhoek.
Day 2: Sesriem — Gateway to the Dunes
Drive south through the dramatic Khomas Hochland mountains. Cross the Tropic of Capricorn. Stop at Solitaire — the iconic desert outpost — for its famous apple pie. Arrive at a luxurious desert lodge near Sesriem. Afternoon visit to Sesriem Canyon, a narrow gorge carved by the Tsauchab River over millions of years. Sunset drinks on the lodge’s deck with panoramic desert views. Overnight near Sesriem.
Day 3: Sossusvlei & Deadvlei — Dune Magic
Pre-dawn departure to Sossusvlei for the magical first light on the world’s highest sand dunes. Hike to the summit of Big Daddy (325m) or the iconic Dune 45. Walk across Deadvlei’s ancient white clay pan with its 900-year-old camelthorn tree skeletons — one of the most surreal landscapes on Earth. Day 4: Namib Desert to Swakopmund
Drive northwest through the Namib-Naukluft National Park, stopping at the dramatic Kuiseb Canyon. Enter the coastal zone at Walvis Bay Lagoon for flamingo photography — thousands of pink birds feeding with giant dunes as backdrop. Continue to Swakopmund, checking into a premium beachfront hotel. Afternoon walk through Swakopmund’s German colonial streets. Overnight Swakopmund.
Day 5: Skeleton Coast & Cape Cross
Journey north along the legendary Skeleton Coast. Stop at the Zeila shipwreck, a fishing trawler abandoned in 2008 that has become an iconic landmark. Continue to Cape Cross Seal Reserve — walk the boardwalks above a colony of 200,000+ Cape fur seals. The sensory overload of sight, sound, and smell is an experience like no other. Afternoon return to Swakopmund. Optional evening at the Tug Restaurant. Overnight Swakopmund.
Day 6: Swakopmund — Coastal Explorations
Morning dolphin and seal cruise in Walvis Bay — pelicans land on the boat, seals swim alongside, and dolphins play in the bow wave, all with fresh oysters and champagne. Afternoon at leisure or optional activities: scenic flight over the Skeleton Coast, quad biking the dunes, or exploring Swakopmund’s galleries and the Kristall Galerie. Overnight Swakopmund.
Day 7: Damaraland — Ancient Rock Art
Drive inland through dramatic Damaraland. Visit Twyfelfontein (UNESCO), with its extraordinary concentration of 6,000-year-old rock engravings. See the Organ Pipes geological formation. Search for desert-adapted elephants in the ephemeral riverbeds. Continue to a luxury safari lodge near Etosha. Overnight near Etosha.
Day 8: Etosha National Park — Eastern Sector
Full-day safari in Etosha’s eastern sector. Morning game drive through diverse habitats from open plains to mopane woodland. Search for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and the many antelope species that call Etosha home. Lunch at a rest camp. Afternoon game drive ending at a luxury lodge where a waterhole attracts wildlife throughout the night. Overnight Etosha area.
Day 9: Etosha — Western Sector & Okaukuejo
Cross Etosha from east to west, game-driving between waterholes. Visit the spectacular Etosha Pan lookout at Halali. Continue to Okaukuejo for a final game drive. Evening at Okaukuejo’s legendary floodlit waterhole — widely considered the finest wildlife viewing in Southern Africa. Farewell dinner. Overnight near Etosha.
Day 10: Return to Windhoek
Final breakfast in the bush. Drive south to Windhoek. Optional visit to a cheetah conservation center en route. Arrive at Windhoek International Airport for departure.
