Itinerary Highlights

Day 1: Arrival in Kuwait City & City Tour

Arrive at Kuwait International Airport (Kuwait City, Kuwait). Transfer to your hotel. Explore Kuwait City, the capital and largest city of Kuwait, a modern city with its stunning modern architecture, its beautiful corniche, its vibrant souks, and its rich history. Visit the Kuwait Towers (the iconic landmark of Kuwait, three stunning towers with their observation deck and restaurant, offering panoramic views of the city and the Arabian Gulf). Visit the Grand Mosque (one of the most beautiful mosques in the Middle East, the largest mosque in Kuwait, with its stunning architecture, its beautiful minarets, its huge courtyard, and its stunning interior with its beautiful Islamic art and decoration). Visit the Souk Mubarakiya (one of the oldest and most famous souks in Kuwait, a bustling traditional market with its spices, textiles, crafts, jewelry, food, and the famous Iranian souk, a great place to experience the vibrant Kuwaiti culture). Visit the Tareq Rajab Museum (one of the most important museums in Kuwait, with its excellent collection of Islamic art, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, musical instruments, and the famous collection of traditional costumes). Visit the Kuwait National Museum (with its exhibits on the history, culture, and natural heritage of Kuwait, including the famous archaeological artifacts from Failaka Island and the ancient Dilmun civilization). Visit the beautiful corniche (waterfront promenade) of Kuwait City, with its beautiful parks, its beaches, and the stunning views of the Arabian Gulf. Evening welcome dinner with Kuwaiti cuisine including machboos (a traditional Kuwaiti dish of rice and meat or fish cooked with spices), grilled meats, fresh seafood, dates, and the famous Kuwaiti coffee (gahwa). Overnight in Kuwait City.

Day 2: Failaka Island & Desert Safari

Morning take a boat trip to Failaka Island (approximately 30-45 minutes by boat from Kuwait City), a beautiful island in the Arabian Gulf, with its rich history (the island was inhabited as early as the Bronze Age, and was part of the ancient Dilmun civilization, with Greek ruins from the time of Alexander the Great, and was the site of a Greek colony called Icaros), its beautiful beaches, its crystal-clear water, and its peaceful atmosphere. Visit the ancient ruins on Failaka Island, including the Greek temple of Artemis, the ancient settlements, and the various archaeological sites. Visit the Failaka Island Museum (with its exhibits on the history and archaeology of the island). Visit the beautiful beaches of Failaka Island and go for a swim or snorkel. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful scenery of the island. After lunch, return to Kuwait City and go on a desert safari (Kuwait is mostly desert, with its beautiful sand dunes, its desert camps, and its traditional Bedouin culture). Take a 4×4 ride into the desert, enjoy the beautiful sand dunes, visit a traditional Bedouin camp, enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner with grilled meats, rice, and tea, and experience the traditional Bedouin hospitality. Enjoy the beautiful desert sunset and the starry night sky (the desert has very little light pollution, making it excellent for stargazing). Evening return to Kuwait City. Dinner with Kuwaiti cuisine. Overnight in Kuwait City.

Day 3: Kuwait City & Departure

Morning free for last-minute exploration of Kuwait City or shopping for Kuwaiti products including traditional crafts, textiles, jewelry, perfumes, spices, dates, and local products. Visit the Souk Mubarakiya or the various shopping malls (including the famous Avenues Mall, one of the largest malls in the Middle East) for souvenirs. Visit the various museums for a final look, or relax at a café overlooking the Arabian Gulf. Visit the nearby Scientific Center (a beautiful science museum with its aquarium, IMAX theater, and exhibits on the marine life of the Arabian Gulf). After lunch, transfer to Kuwait International Airport for your departure flight. Concluding your 3-day Kuwait City stopover express.
