Itinerary Highlights

Day 1: Arrive Accra

Welcome to Ghana’s coastal capital. Transfer to hotel. Evening orientation walk along Labadi Beach. Overnight in Accra.

Day 2: Accra Exploration

Visit Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, Independence Square, and the Artists Alliance Gallery. Afternoon at Jamestown — fishing harbor, lighthouse, and the Brazil House museum about returned Afro-Brazilian slaves. Evening at Osu’s Oxford Street for dinner and nightlife. Overnight in Accra.

Day 3: Anomabo & Cape Coast

Drive west along the coast. Visit Anomabo, a historic fishing town with a beautiful beach and the 18th-century Fort William. Continue to Cape Coast. Afternoon at leisure on Cape Coast’s beaches. Overnight in Cape Coast.

Day 4: Cape Coast Castle & Kakum

Morning at Cape Coast Castle for the guided tour through its powerful history. Afternoon at Kakum National Park — canopy walkway and nature trails. Evening beachside seafood dinner. Overnight in Cape Coast.

Day 5: Elmina & St. George’s Castle

Visit Elmina Castle (St. George’s Castle), the oldest European structure in sub-Saharan Africa, built by the Portuguese in 1482. Afternoon at Elmina’s colorful fishing harbor — the largest dugout canoe fleet in West Africa. Visit a local batik workshop. Overnight in Elmina.

Day 6: Busua Beach — Surf & Relax

Continue west to Busua, Ghana’s best surfing beach. Optional surf lesson with local instructors. Afternoon at leisure — swim, walk the endless beach, or visit nearby Fort Metal Cross at Dixcove. Overnight at Busua Beach Resort.

Day 7: Nzulezo Stilt Village — Return to Accra

Morning excursion to Nzulezo Stilt Village, a UNESCO-nominated settlement built entirely on stilts over Lake Tadane. Canoe journey through wetlands to this remarkable 600-year-old community. Afternoon drive back to Accra. Farewell dinner. Overnight in Accra.

Day 8: Depart Accra

Morning market visit for final shopping. Transfer to airport. Nante yiye (safe journey)!
