Day 1: Arrive Siem Reap — Night Market & Apsara

Arrive Siem Reap. Evening: Apsara dance dinner show — classical Khmer dance with its hypnotic hand gestures. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 2: Angkor Wat Sunrise — The Temple That Defines a Nation

5am: sunrise at Angkor Wat. Guided tour of the bas-relief galleries and the central sanctuary. Morning: Angkor Thom — Bayon’s 216 stone faces, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King. Afternoon: Ta Prohm, the jungle temple where strangler fig trees embrace ancient stone. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Banteay Srei & Floating Village

Morning: Banteay Srei — pink sandstone, carvings so delicate legend says women’s hands made them. Afternoon: Tonle Sap Lake — boat through the floating village of Kampong Khleang, a complete community living on water. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 4: Khmer Cooking Class & Countryside

Morning: market visit then hands-on Khmer cooking class. Learn fish amok (Cambodia’s national dish — coconut curry steamed in banana leaf), lok lak (stir-fried beef with lime-pepper sauce), and nom banh chok (rice noodles with fish gravy). Feast on your creations. Afternoon: ox cart ride through rice paddies and village life. Evening: Pub Street exploration and Angkor Night Market. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 5: Departure

Morning at leisure. Transfer to airport.
