Day 1: Arrive Berlin

Day 2: Berlin City Tour

Full day exploring Berlin: Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag Building, Berlin Wall Memorial, Checkpoint Charlie, and Museum Island (UNESCO). Visit the Holocaust Memorial. Evening free in Potsdamer Platz. Overnight in Berlin.

Day 3: Dresden — Florence on the Elbe

Travel to Dresden, the “Florence of the Elbe.” Visit the Zwinger Palace, Semper Opera House, and the Frauenkirche — magnificently rebuilt after WWII. Walk along the Elbe River. Overnight in Dresden.

Day 4: Nuremberg & Rothenburg

Morning in Nuremberg: medieval castle and the Hauptmarkt square. Afternoon in Rothenburg ob der Tauber — Germany’s best-preserved medieval walled town. Walk the city walls at sunset. Overnight in Rothenburg.

Day 5: Romantic Road to Munich

Drive the famous Romantic Road (Romantische Straße). Stop at Dinkelsbühl and Nördlingen, two more perfectly preserved medieval towns. Arrive in Munich. Evening at the Hofbräuhaus beer hall. Overnight in Munich.

Day 6: Munich City Tour

Visit Munich’s Marienplatz with its famous Glockenspiel, Viktualienmarkt food market, and the English Garden. Tour the BMW Welt and Museum. Afternoon free for shopping or visiting art museums. Overnight in Munich.

Day 7: Neuschwanstein Castle

Full day excursion to King Ludwig II’s fairy-tale Neuschwanstein Castle — the inspiration for Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle. Walk to Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge) for the iconic photo. Visit the charming town of Füssen. Overnight in Munich.

Day 8: Dachau & Farewell

Morning visit to the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site — a sobering and important historical experience. Afternoon free in Munich. Farewell dinner with Bavarian specialties. Overnight in Munich.

Day 9: Depart Munich
