Itinerary Highlights

Day 1: Arrive Havana

Arrive in Havana. Transfer to your casa particular (private B&B) or hotel in Old Havana. Evening walk along the Malecón. Welcome dinner at a paladar. Overnight in Havana.

Day 2: Havana — Old & New

Full day exploring Havana. Morning: Old Havana’s four colonial plazas, Havana Cathedral, and the Museum of the Revolution. Classic American car tour through Vedado and Miramar neighborhoods. Afternoon: Fusterlandia — José Fuster’s Gaudí-inspired ceramic wonderland. Evening: cannon ceremony at the Morro Castle fortress. Overnight in Havana.

Day 3: Las Terrazas & Viñales

Drive west to Las Terrazas, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve — a reforested eco-community with artists’ studios and coffee plantations. Continue to Viñales. Sunset over the mogotes. Overnight in Viñales.

Day 4: Viñales Valley

Explore the Viñales Valley: visit a tobacco farm, see the Cueva del Indio with its underground river boat ride, and the Mural de la Prehistoria. Afternoon drive to Cienfuegos. Overnight in Cienfuegos.

Day 5: Cienfuegos — Pearl of the South

Tour Cienfuegos, a UNESCO city and Cuba’s only French-founded settlement. Visit the Palacio de Valle (Moorish-Gothic-Venetian fantasy palace), Parque Martí, and the Malecón. Afternoon drive to Trinidad. Overnight in Trinidad.

Day 6: Trinidad — Museum City

Full day in Trinidad, Cuba’s best-preserved colonial city and a UNESCO gem since 1988. Cobblestone streets, pastel-colored houses, and the Plaza Mayor. Visit the Museo Romántico and climb the bell tower for panoramic views. Evening: live son music at the Casa de la Trova — the birthplace of Cuban music traditions. Overnight in Trinidad.

Day 7: Santa Clara & Return to Havana

Drive to Santa Clara. Visit the Che Guevara Mausoleum and the Tren Blindado (Armored Train) monument — site of the decisive battle of the Cuban Revolution. Afternoon drive back to Havana. Farewell dinner and live music. Overnight in Havana.

Day 8: Depart Havana

Airport transfer. ¡Viva Cuba!
