Itinerary Highlights

Day 1: Arrival in Doha & City Tour

Arrive at Hamad International Airport (Doha, Qatar). Transfer to your hotel. Explore Doha, the capital and largest city of Qatar, a stunning modern city with its beautiful skyline, its rich cultural heritage, its vibrant souks, and its beautiful waterfront. Visit the Museum of Islamic Art (one of the most beautiful museums in the world, designed by the famous architect I.M. Pei, with its stunning architecture and its excellent collection of Islamic art from across the Islamic world, including manuscripts, textiles, ceramics, metalwork, and jewelry, spanning over 1,400 years of history). Visit the Souq Waqif (one of the oldest and most famous souks in the Middle East, a bustling traditional market with its spices, textiles, crafts, jewelry, perfumes, food, and the famous falcon souk, a great place to experience the vibrant Qatari culture). Visit the Katara Cultural Village (a beautiful cultural village with its stunning amphitheater, its beautiful mosques, its art galleries, its restaurants, and its beautiful setting on the waterfront). Visit The Pearl-Qatar (a beautiful artificial island with its stunning marina, its luxury hotels, its restaurants, its shops, and its beautiful Mediterranean-style architecture). Visit the Doha Corniche (a beautiful waterfront promenade with its stunning views of the Doha skyline, its beautiful parks, and the iconic dhow boats). Visit the National Museum of Qatar (a stunning museum designed by the famous architect Jean Nouvel, inspired by the desert rose crystal, with its excellent exhibits on the history, culture, and natural heritage of Qatar). Evening welcome dinner with Qatari cuisine including machboos (a traditional Qatari dish of rice and meat or fish cooked with spices), grilled meats, fresh seafood, dates, and the famous Qatari coffee (gahwa). Overnight in Doha.

Day 2: Desert Safari & Inland Sea

Morning depart Doha for a desert safari (Qatar is mostly desert, with its beautiful sand dunes, its desert camps, and its traditional Bedouin culture). Take a 4×4 ride into the desert, enjoy the thrilling dune bashing (driving over the towering sand dunes), visit the beautiful Khor Al Adaid (Inland Sea, a unique natural wonder where the sea encroaches into the desert, creating a beautiful inland sea surrounded by towering sand dunes, one of the few places in the world where you can see the sea and the desert together). Visit the Inland Sea and enjoy the beautiful scenery, go for a swim (if the weather is suitable), and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Visit a traditional Bedouin desert camp and experience the traditional Bedouin hospitality, enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner with grilled meats, rice, and tea, and try the traditional activities including camel riding, sandboarding, and henna painting. Enjoy the beautiful desert sunset and the starry night sky (the desert has very little light pollution, making it excellent for stargazing). Evening return to Doha. Dinner with Qatari cuisine. Overnight in Doha.

Day 3: Dhow Cruise & Departure

Morning enjoy a traditional dhow cruise along the Doha Corniche (a dhow is a traditional wooden sailing boat used in the Arabian Gulf, and a dhow cruise is a wonderful way to see the Doha skyline from the water). Cruise along the Doha Corniche, enjoy the stunning views of the Doha skyline, the Museum of Islamic Art, the Souq Waqif, and the various landmarks, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on the water. After the dhow cruise, do some last-minute shopping for Qatari products including traditional crafts, textiles, jewelry, perfumes, spices, dates, and local products. Visit the Souq Waqif or the various shopping malls (including the famous Villaggio Mall and the Mall of Qatar) for souvenirs. Visit the various museums for a final look, or relax at a café overlooking the Arabian Gulf. After lunch, transfer to Hamad International Airport for your departure flight. Concluding your 3-day Qatar desert safari and dhow cruise adventure.
