Arrival in Rio

Christ the Redeemer & Sugar Loaf
Morning cog train to Corcovado — stand beneath Christ the Redeemer with Rio sprawled beneath you. Afternoon cable car to Sugar Loaf Mountain for sunset over Guanabara Bay.
Rio — Samba & Santa Teresa
Morning at Santa Teresa — the Montmartre of Rio — with cobblestone streets, artists studios, and the colorful Selarón Steps. Afternoon samba class in Lapa. Evening at a traditional churrascaria.
Iguazu Falls — Brazil Side
Flight to Foz do Iguaçu. Afternoon on the Brazilian side — panoramic walkways with 275 waterfalls thundering on both sides. The Devil Throat is a wall of water roaring 80 meters into the abyss.
Iguazu Falls — Argentina Side
Cross the border. Walk the catwalks OVER the Devil Throat — feel the spray on your face as the river disappears into the mist. Jungle boat ride to the base of the falls. Unforgettable.
Amazon — Manaus
