Itinerary Highlights

Day 1: Arrive Bangkok

Welcome to Bangkok. Evening free to explore the riverside. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 2: Bangkok Temples & Canals

Visit the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun. Afternoon khlong (canal) boat tour through Thonburi. Evening at Asiatique night market. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 3: Bangkok Markets & Fly to Chiang Mai

Morning at the Damnoen Saduak floating market — a photographer’s paradise. Fly to Chiang Mai. Evening at the Sunday Walking Street market. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 4: Chiang Mai Temples & Cooking

Visit Doi Suthep temple at sunrise. Afternoon Thai cooking class: learn to make green curry, pad thai, and mango sticky rice. Evening free. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 5: Loy Krathong — Festival Day 1

Morning visit to an elephant sanctuary. Afternoon: learn to make a krathong (floating basket) from banana leaves and flowers. Evening: join the Loy Krathong celebration! Float your krathong on the Ping River as thousands of candles light up the water. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 6: Yi Peng — Sky Lantern Release

Free morning. Evening: the unforgettable Yi Peng Festival! Join thousands releasing paper sky lanterns (khom loi) into the night sky — a truly magical spectacle. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 7: Chiang Mai to Phuket

Fly to Phuket. Afternoon at leisure on the beach. Overnight in Phuket.

Day 8: Phi Phi Islands

Full-day speedboat excursion to the Phi Phi Islands: Maya Bay (from “The Beach”), Monkey Beach, and snorkeling in crystal-clear waters. Overnight in Phuket.

Day 9: Phuket Relaxation

Free day. Spa treatments, beach time, or explore Phuket Old Town’s Sino-Portuguese architecture. Farewell dinner on the beach. Overnight in Phuket.

Day 10: Depart Phuket

Airport transfer. Join us again next year for the Festival of Lights!
