Itinerary Highlights

Day 1: Arrive Nuuk — World’s Smallest Capital

Fly into Nuuk, Greenland’s tiny capital (population 18,000) perched on a peninsula in one of the world’s largest fjord systems. Afternoon exploration: the Greenland National Museum with the famous Qilakitsoq mummies, Nuuk Art Museum, and the colorful colonial harbor. Welcome dinner featuring Greenlandic tapas — musk ox, reindeer, and Arctic char. Overnight in Nuuk.

Day 2: Boat to Itisoq Bay — Ravens Nest Camp

Scenic boat journey 80km deep into the Nuuk Fjord system — the second largest fjord system on Earth. Arrive at Ravens Nest, an exclusive tented camp on the shores of Itisoq Bay. Surrounded by kilometer-high peaks, glaciers, and complete wilderness. Your home for the next four nights: a comfortable double tent with actual beds. Afternoon orientation hike. Overnight at Ravens Nest Camp.

Day 3: Itisoq Glacier Summit — 1,100m Peak

Full-day guided summit trek to a 1,100m peak overlooking the Itisoq Glacier. The trail climbs through Arctic tundra, passing waterfalls and alpine lakes. From the summit: a 360-degree panorama of the Greenland Ice Sheet to the east and the endless fjord system to the west. Lunch on the summit. Descend through fields of Arctic wildflowers. Evening sauna in the camp’s wood-fired tent sauna. Overnight at Ravens Nest Camp.

Day 4: Fjord Paddleboarding & Kayaking

Morning paddleboarding on the calm waters of Itisoq Bay — surrounded by 1,000-meter peaks reflected perfectly in the water. Afternoon guided kayak exploration of the fjord coastline, paddling among small icebergs calved from nearby glaciers. This is one of the world’s most spectacular places to paddle. Overnight at Ravens Nest Camp.

Day 5: Glacier Front & Arctic Wildlife

Boat excursion closer to the glacier front. Search for Arctic wildlife — ringed seals, humpback whales (seasonal), white-tailed eagles, and Arctic foxes. Afternoon: final hike on the tundra, picking wild blueberries and crowberries in season. Farewell campfire dinner under the midnight sun. Overnight at Ravens Nest Camp.

Day 6: Return to Nuuk & Depart

Morning boat back to Nuuk. Afternoon at the Katuaq Cultural Centre and last-minute shopping for Greenlandic art and sealskin products. Transfer to airport.
