Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Guam — Where America’s Day Begins
Arrive at A.B. Won Pat International Airport. Guam is the largest island in Micronesia and the westernmost point of the United States — “where America’s day begins.” Transfer to your beachfront hotel in Tumon Bay, Guam’s resort strip with its crescent of white sand and crystal-clear lagoon. Afternoon at leisure: swim, snorkel, or simply decompress on the beach. Evening: sunset at Two Lovers Point (Puntan Dos Amantes), the dramatic cliff where legend says two star-crossed Chamorro lovers leaped to their deaths rather than be separated. Welcome dinner of Chamorro barbecue — chicken and pork marinated in finadene (soy, lemon, chili, and coconut), red rice, and kelaguen (citrus-marinated ceviche).
Day 2: Chamorro Cultural Immersion
Morning visit to the Guam Museum in Hagåtña, the capital, with exhibits on Chamorro history from ancient seafaring through Spanish, Japanese, and American eras. Visit Latte Stone Park — ancient Chamorro stone pillars that supported raised houses over 1,000 years ago. See the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica. Lunch: Chamorro food trucks. Afternoon: visit Gef Pa’go Chamorro Cultural Village, a living museum where elders demonstrate traditional weaving, canoe building, salt making, and coconut candy production. Evening: Chamorro dance performance and dinner show.
Day 3: South Island Nature & History
Full-day southern Guam tour. Visit Fort Nuestra Señora de la Soledad, a Spanish fort with stunning views over Umatac Bay where Magellan landed in 1521. Explore Talofofo Falls and the Yokoi’s Cave — the underground bunker where Japanese soldier Shoichi Yokoi hid for 28 years after WWII ended, unaware the war was over. Visit Inarajan Natural Pool, a protected swimming hole. Afternoon at Cetti Bay Overlook for panoramas of one of Micronesia’s most beautiful bays. Return via the scenic Cross Island Road.
Day 4: Tumon Bay & Underwater World
Morning: snorkeling in Tumon Bay’s marine preserve, home to over 400 species of coral and 1,000 species of fish. Afternoon: visit Fish Eye Marine Park — an underwater observatory 30 feet below the surface where you can watch the reef’s inhabitants without getting wet. Optional: parasailing, jet skiing, or scuba diving. Evening: Tumon Bay sunset cruise. Farewell dinner at one of Guam’s famous Chamorro BBQ restaurants.
Day 5: Last Morning & Departure
Morning at leisure — last swim in Tumon Bay. Duty-free shopping at T Galleria or Micronesia Mall. Transfer to airport.
