Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Quito
Airport transfer and overnight at 2,850m in Ecuador’s capital.
Day 2: Quito — UNESCO Heritage & Equator
Explore Quito’s colonial center: San Francisco Church, La Compania de Jesus, Independence Plaza. Afternoon visit to the Middle of the World monument — stand with one foot in each hemisphere!
Day 3: Fly to the Galapagos!
Morning flight from Quito to Baltra, Galapagos. Transfer to Santa Cruz Island. Afternoon visit to Charles Darwin Research Station to see giant tortoises and learn about conservation.
Day 4: Uninhabited Island Day Trip
Full-day boat excursion to a nearby uninhabited island (Bartolome, North Seymour, or Santa Fe). Snorkel with playful sea lions, spot blue-footed boobies, frigate birds, marine iguanas, and if lucky, Galapagos penguins. Crystal-clear waters reveal reef sharks, sea turtles, and colorful tropical fish.
Day 5: Santa Cruz Highlands & Wild Tortoises
Morning visit to the Santa Cruz highlands — walk among giant tortoises roaming freely in their natural habitat. Explore lava tubes (underground volcanic tunnels). Afternoon at Tortuga Bay — one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, perfect for swimming and kayaking with marine iguanas.
Day 6: Return to Quito
Morning at leisure in Puerto Ayora. Fly back to Quito. Evening free for last-minute explorations or souvenir shopping at La Mariscal.
Day 7: Depart Quito
Airport transfer. Depart with unforgettable Galapagos memories!
